Paper Boats Learning

This English immersion preschool is in El Carmen, Panama City, and takes children from 14 months through pre-kindergarten. It has been running since 1990.

English Immersion: The program is taught in English, so children pick up the language through daily use.

Child-Led Learning: Children explore, make choices, and learn hands-on through nature, science, art, music, and movement.

Small Ratios: There are no more than 8 children per teacher.

Four Age Groups: Groups are Seahorse (14 months to 2 years), Sea Turtle (2 to 3), Octopus (3 to 4), and Fish (4 to 5).

Positive Discipline: The school uses a positive discipline approach, and outdoor spaces are part of the learning day.

For expat families in El Carmen and the central neighborhoods, an English immersion program can make the move easier for young children. The school day runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
